We might as well just jump right into the fire and get going. I'm looking at either the 21st or 22nd of April, which is Earth Day weekend. I think we can have a great environmental tie-in. I also think that a trackable exposition and sharing would be awesome. Lots of trackable discovering for everyone's numbers. Please comment with any recommendations you may have for any activities... I have been talking to the Rib Co. in Yucca Valley. They have a room we can use, in the back and can customize a menu of a few key menu items with discounts on drinks and meals. Let me know. Plus, I'll bring a crap-ton of ammo cans for giveaway.
GZ Marks the Spot serves as the internet GZ for the Morongo Basin Geocaching Society, a social organization, whose mission is to organize geocachers from the Yucca Valley, Joshua Tree, Morongo Valley, Johnson Valley, Old Dale District, Twenty-Nine Palms, Palm Springs and surrounding cities too to further enjoy and expand geocaching. We wish to organize social & traditional events, distribute a local e-newsletter and share our sport with new individuals.
Just getting started...
This is a new endeavor for me. Please take a look around and attempt to make a comment on posts that you find interesting. If you have trouble, please contact me through the geocaching.com website - tufelhundin. I may not have the ability to comment tweaked just right. Thanks and keep cachin' on. ~tufelhundin~

I think a local meet and greet would be great! Unfortunately this weekend we are busy both days. Were you thinking about doing this frequently? Bimonthly? Quarterly?
I totally agree that grip & grins will be great. A few of us are looking for monthly socials with a traditional event periodically. Shortnotice flashmob photo events and the like. The YV Earth Day was a bust, they were booked. I'm thinking about the 28th in Joshua Tree maybe, at the Crossroads Cafe or something for brunch. We'll see. I'm also getting a table, hopefully, at Grubstake Days on 28-29 May in Yucca Valley. Thanks for your comment.
